Our History

Established 1980

Established in 1980 we have grown from a small construction company on the outskirts of Kingston Upon Hull into a nationally respected Civil Engineering, Rail and Building Company. Since the advent of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations in 1994, we have carried out in excess of 1,500 civil engineering projects to a value now exceeding £120 million.

In the late 1990s, alongside our continuing Civil Engineering Works, we diversified into the Plant Hire sector, hiring out a range of excavators and plant to customers across the UK. We enjoyed many years of successful trade however in 2011 we decided that we would restructure the business and move away from this sector and focus on developing a strategy to work within Rail.

In 2012 we achieved our Network Rail Principal Contractors Licence and are continuing to work on varying projects across different frameworks.

2016 has also seen further change. As bid management becomes increasingly important to the ongoing success of the company we have continued to strengthen the team in this area. Alongside this we have also employed an in house SHEQ manager and continue to employ apprentices who join our well established apprenticeship programme.

In September 2016 Andy Gaze, who joined the company as an apprentice nearly 30 years ago, was appointed Joint Managing Director of the company.
